Field-rinsing equipment 1: Field-rinsing of equipment at the Salt Creek site. This site is at the Wolf Road Bridge in Western Springs, IL. Collecting VOC samples. 2: Collecting a Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) sample.
Stabilizing sample. 3: Adding a stabilizing agent to the VOC sample for later lab analysis. Wade-sampling. 4: Collecting a sample at one cross-section of the creek. Approximately 9-10 Liters (3-4 gallons) of water is taken for analysis.
