Responsible for overall coordination, quality assurance, and logistical and technical supervision of the study-unit team. Interests include aqueous chemistry, ground-water geochemistry, and flow and transport modeling of ground water.

Coordinates surface-water sampling activities and data interpretation for the LIRB study unit. Serves as Water-Quality Specialist for the Illinois Water Science Center.

Primary responsibility is to maintain and implement the geographic information system (GIS) data base. Secondary responsibilities include aerial photography using a remote-controlled helicopter, Web page design,
and the creation of maps and graphics for reports, posters, and slide presentations.

Participation in the LIRB study unit focuses on sampling design, well drilling, water-quality sampling, and data analysis. Interests include trace elements in the deep Quaternary sand and gravel aquifer and pesticides in shallow ground water in the Quaternary deposits.

Coordinates the biological sampling of algae, macroinvertebrates, fish, and habitat surveys. Interests include the effects of hydrology, landscape, and land use on aquatic communities.

Primary duties are ground-water data collection and sampling procedures, and quality assurance and control of ground-water samples. Interests include movement and fate of volatile organic compounds.

Primary responsibilities are to maintain the GIS database and to create maps for reports and presentations .

Primary responsibility is the collection of surface-water quality data. Interests include investigating the effects of agricultural practices on water-quality, statistical analysis, and water-quality modeling.
