Meyer-Peter and Mueller: Developed from experiments on gravel-bed flumes. This equation is a Strickler-type equation and is subject to the same limitations. In addition, the coefficient is also dependent upon the types and arrangement of roughness elements (Meyer-Peter and Muller, 1948).
